Blog 12 review work
While reading my blogs, I noticed I can get a bit off topic and not focus on the question that was given to us. It looks like I did not even read the material or made any sense while talking about the topic. I realized I do not quote the book or make any inferences towards it. It looks like I just put sentences or words together just to meet the requirement. I am repeating the same thing over and over in the blogs. But one thing I can say is that I meet the requirement most of the time. It defiantly does not look like I wrote these blogs. I do not know what I was on when I came up with some of these ideas. I look at my blog and I feel like I could be more descriptive and quote more. I feel like I could express myself in my writing a whole lot better, if I can actually understand the question. The nature of my post actually has not changed, usually when you do something often enough things will get better. But when I read these post I feel like I am not getting better at it. My blogs truthfully they are not exciting enough for me to even read, let alone for someone else to. I feel like they would lose focus fast and become disinterested in it. I notice the stories and stuff changing, I could see change here and there but that is not enough to make my post great enough. The changes I can account for is when we talk in class about a subject, it actually gives me a idea of what I actually want to write about. So I feel like that can help abit as well. One of the ideas I feel that is worth on revisiting was the post on “ Am I Human?” That was actually I feel the best post I had so far. I feel like we should write about life and what is on your mind at the end of the week. But we write atleast three blogs a week which can be a bit overwhelming at times. The blogging is not a bad idea but you got to change the subject from time to time, like maybe one time change it to a thing that we would never write about. That would be a good post.
Blog 10 the dragon view
In the book Grendal, the dragon is the type of character that exhibits a lot of characteristics. One of his major characteristics are him having wisdom like an old man. He shared his wisdom about life and what he had experienced to Grendal. The dragon changed Grendal point of view on life completely. The dragon says that the world was made up by gods whereas the dragon says that human kind is the downfall to life. While the dragon tells him that, he also belittles Grendal thought and says its foolish of him to think that way. While the dragon lives alone by himself he still understands people through language. While Grendal thinks the same but just do not get it as well as the dragon. Like Grendal is like the opposite of the dragon, he wants to be accepted by the people but they will not accept him because of what he has become. Grendal downfall is he has no one to express himself to or like to talk to. He has no one to tell him why things are the way they are and how come they cannot change. So The only one he can actually talk to is the dragon because he knowledgeable about things that happen in this world because he has lived on this world longer, so that is why he can go to the dragon and actually listen. The dragon has so much wisdom so that is why grendal needs him for things like that. That is like me listening to my parent because they been through some of the stuff I am going through. So grendal listens attentively, so he can change for the better. Wisdom separates the two characters from each other. So these are the reasons I believe separate the characters.

End of blog 11
In Grendel, Beowulf is described as a different type of hero. Usually heroes get great the whole treatment of the town greeting them and cheering but in Grendel it ended with a fatalistic view on life. Like in this book they give you grendel point of view on the situation between him and Beowulf. Beowulf is just minor part in the book of grendel. It’s the same way in Beowulf like he gets a mini episode. But in Beowulf you get to the end and you get extra information.

Am I human?
Grendal says he sees himself watching them. So he is seeing it in another view. It is like an outer body experience. He also saying that he is not him he is someone else. He is not use to this so it is strange to him. So that is why he is startled. . ‘Then I am not that which observes!’ I am lack” (chapter 2, 29) which means he is less then what he really is, if he doesn’t see outside the box. What I have learned from grendal is he is lonely. He has the same characteristics as a human, which are feelings. So he wonders why he does not have someone to talk to or relate with. Like humans can’t go without having someone to talk to. They’ll go insane. Like that one movie name castaway, the dude loses his mind and actually has a conversation with volleyball. So he is just like us. He has his desires of being with a person. When Grendal says “He wanted it, yes!” He is talking about the language the human’s speak. But he understands it though. But the only problem is that they don’t understand him. So he can say I want to be friends with you and they think he wants to harm them because of how he presents his self. That’s like if a genius dressed in baggy clothes and wore gold teeth. He would be judge by his appearance. But it’s how he looks and acts. He could be acting like a complete good person but jus the look does not come off good. But the main question is if he is human or monster. I feel like he has a human inside. He thinks like a human but he has a monster outlook. So his is fifty fifty. But most people say it matters what is in on the inside so that means he is human. He thinks like one. So that sets him apart from a lot of animals in the world. So that is the many reasons I say that he is human than monster.

DIFFERENCE
The graphic novel by Gareth Hinds is only one of many. But the graphic novel I felt like it was better for me. It was better for me because I could actually see what was going on. Instead of guessing what was happening. It put a mental picture in my head that I can actually see. But the online version was kind of hard to understand. Even though it was in translation form from old English, it was hard for me. But the book makes you come up with your own image of the action that is happening in the book. The book is very detailed in both. Like the pictures show what is going on to the point, while the online version got you thinking on how gruesome or how detailed it looks by the words they use. I do think the graphic novel is a valuable rendering of the text. I think so because the saying “picture is worth a thousand words.” So I do feel it is valuable. So that is why I agree on this graphic novel. I feel the only difference between the two endings of the books is that you’ll understand it easier from a picture book. But from the novel it would be harder because it would be so detailed but to confusing to put it together. While looking around the class and listening to the rest of the students in our class, I came to the conclusion that most of them like the graphic novel because they could not understand the translation and neither the old English. Also because they are lazy. The ending of the book will have the same general idea but would present it in two different ways. Which will cause a problem with certain assignments? Like we should come to agree on one of them to read because you might get a imagine that was totally wrong from the novel book then the graphic which will cause you to get a certain answer on a test or essay wrong. But they are amazing both of those books. But I rather read the graphic novel. But those are my reasoning’s on this matter.
