Mindset or attitude blog 24
In my life right now, I have a lot of things going on. What I have to do right now is handle high school. I have to handle high school because if I do not I will not be able to attend my college choice. The real reason why I have to get this done is because I want to play college football so bad. This will be the stepping stone to my future success. Every time I feel that things are going tough, I read a quote from Martian Luther King which says ““The ultimate measure of a Man is not where He stands in moments of comfort and convenience. But where He stands at times of challenge and controversy.” This makes me think to myself I have to grind to get mine. That saying nothing comes easy in life is true and I take it to heart. The quote exemplifies what I feel who is a go getter in life. So I feel like my theme is a go getter. A go getter gets the job done and wants to go get whatever they want. Only a few people get this quality when they are born. That is what separate the greats from the norm. For example Martian Luther King was a go getter. He was one because he did things for the African American community that gave those rights finally. This was huge during the time period he accomplished this. So he had the mindset of a go getter. I feel like everybody could get that mind set but you have to train yourself to do it. So I feel like if I have this mindset throughout college I could accomplish anything that would be in front of me. I feel like I would make my dreams to reality if I get this mindset.

Life isn’t always easy and does not always come easy without a lot of work ethic to back it up. That’s why I have to finish pushing through school, preparing myself for the years ahead if I want to attend a great school to better me as a student as person. If I don’t succeed as an athlete I want to be able to get a degree and become the best man I can. This wont all be easy and in the time of need I will look to Martin Luther King for inspiration and guidance. He always had a quote that I fed off of to get through rough times which was “The ultimate measure of a Man is not where He stands in moments of comfort and convenience. But where He stands at times of challenge and controversy.”. This quote makes me want to achieve more in life to make my family proud and labels me as a determined student who doesn’t give up easily. So for a theme I would take Determination and say it best describes me now. Its a trait Martin Luther King had too, and he used it to his advantage in order to help African Americans gain rights, power, and equality. Without determination you cant gain much and MLK proved that and everyone can have it if they put in the effort. Its only 10 percent physical and 90 percent mental which shows that goals can be reached if you apply yourself and that’s what’s on my to do sheet.
