What are some of the similarities and differences between Santiago and Alexander Supertramp/Chirstopher McCandless? Do you think Alexander’s personal legend was to live in the wild? The similarities between Santiago and Alexander, is they both wanted to be free, like getting to do whatever they felt like doing. They both left their families behind to do what they wanted to do. I think half of his personal legend was to live in the wild, but I think the other half was to come back to reality and have a successful life, sharing his feelings. I think the people that Supertramp met on his journey was genuine people. They treated him like he was family. They helped him achieve his dream by giving him things that can help him in the wild.
